(April 14, 2026) Buffalo, New York native Keith Eatmon grew up revering the music of Motown and Stax, and being inspired by the smooth tenor of Bobby Caldwell – ultimately shaping his own path as a musician. After quitting his full-time job in the late ‘90s to gig around the world as a vocalist for the Department of Defense’s overseas shows with Armed Forces Entertainment (A.F.E), he made his way back home to the U.S. with aspirations to front his own band while crafting his own catalog of classic R&B.
Now residing in Atlanta and dubbed the “Variety Singer” by his peers, Eaton is stepping out with a new single that amplifies this chapter in his career, while celebrating the beauty of newfound love. “This song is about that moment when love feels brand new—when everything is possible,” said Eatmon. “I wanted to capture that feeling in a way that honors the music I grew up on, but still feels relevant today.”
Steeped in a vibrant smooth soul swag, “I Thought About Love” plays like a Frankie Beverly-meets-KEM cut with its rapturous backing vocals, “whacka-whacka” guitar struts and a serenading tenor sax prevailing in the background. It’s definitely a triumph in Eatmon’s solo output, complimentary to the lush vibes of 2025’s “Let’s Get Together.”
Check it out and let us know if you’re “thinking about love” over this track.
