(September 28, 2019) Baltimore native JSoul is a talented singer, songwriter and producer in his own right. He’s produced multiple albums that are an exploration of the nexus between soul and hip-hop, instrumental music and vocals, and featuring originals as well as remixes of neo-soul, hip-hop soul and hip-hop. JSoul has demonstrated an ability to create along and to work well with others. He’s collaborated with Eric Roberson, Natalie Stewart, W. Ellington Felton and Carol Riddick.
JSoul returns with a collaboration with yet another indie soul superstar in Sy Smith. “Shine” is the lead single from JSoul’s upcoming album The Nuetronic Suite, slated to drop later this fall. It’s a track that shows that JSoul knows how pair arrangement and lyrics with a vocalist. This is a breezy jam falls into a mid-tempo groove that serves as the ideal foundation for Smith’s sweetly sensual vocals. Check it out here.
