“This is the type of song that gives a kind of fresh Motownish modern 60’s sound. I wanted to do a girl meets boy, boy falls and begins the chase type of vibe but on a light, fun and more mature level.”
That’s what former runway model and rising soul music star Joyce Elaine Yuille tells us about her new song. The Spanish Harlem-raised singer was raised on the classic music of artists like Sarah Vaughn, Nina Simone and Phyllis Hyman, and those artists influenced her decision to become a singer.
Joyce moved to Italy and became one third of the acid jazz trio 3*D, recording her first album as part of that act. Though that group split, the experienced helped start her career as a popular singer throughout Europe.
