(November 4, 2020) 2020 has sucked. There’s no two ways about it. But one positive from the year has been the bevy of thoughtful songs about the human condition that have come from both new artists and longtime favorites.

Today, a new song from some of the great soul and jazz stars reminds us that we all have a say in democracy and in progress for our nation. Jonathan Butler leads an all-star cast that includes Maysa, Jeffrey Osborne, Marcus Miller, Rick Braun, Candy Dulfer and more on “Our Voices Matter,” a song that describes how that our voices, whether in protest or in the voting booth, can change the world.

The gentle song has the feel of a quiet anthem, and the stars do it – and its message – proud, giving us hope that the suffering of this year has led to a resolve that will help us on the other side. Check out “Our Voices Matter” below.
