(February 11, 2020) We’ve been following the career for talented singer, songwriter and producer Jon Bibbs for a decade now. And while we don’t hear him enough for our taste, when he does issue new music, it invariably captures us.
That’s the case with the Hampton University grad’s new song “Love In Waiting,” a cool midtempo featuring the two Detroit favorites, Dwele and sax man Saxappeal. With a steady groove, and Saxappeal’s delectable work in the back, Jon gives the kind of song that should win over both adult soul and smooth jazz fans.
Jon describes the song as coming “from thoughts about the virtues that are so important to forming loving relationships. In a society that seems to be in a hurry, it is important to remember that patience is indeed a virtue and no loving relationship can thrive without it.”
