(June 20, 2022) Smooth saxman Johnny James aka Dr. J hit big on the jazz charts earlier this year with his cover of the 1984 Steve Perry smash “Foolish Heart.” But for soul music fans, it is James’ new remix of the song that will turn heads.
Vocalist Sangindiva, currently touring with Jeffrey Osborne, brings the remix to life with her irresistible performance, which James accurately labels as “pure, sweet, and innocent.” The new version, mixed by Erik Blu2th Griggs, is also enhanced by the presence of legendary musicians Greg Phillinganes and Norman Brown.
