(January 30, 2017) This month has been all about New Edition, with the great BET mini-series chronicling the group’s history getting all the fans talking. The members of the group are still active, too: Last week Bell Biv DeVoe released the new album Three Stripes, and this week Johnny Gill issues a new single, with the help of Jaheim. The song first came out quietly a little over a year ago, but now it is ready to get the audience it deserves.
“5000 Miles” is a tasty midtempo that puts the talented Mr. Gill out in front, singing to a woman who has him so open that she takes him “5000 miles past heaven everytime I look at you.”
