John Legend has developed into one of the most loved soul singers of his generation, and one of the few to be able to get play on R&B, pop, UAC and even smooth jazz radio. He’s won them all over with his gentle piano, great songwriting, and that voice.
Legend has just quietly released a song for the Winter season. “Under the Stars” is a beautiful ballad that is just right for the holidays, and it boasts an unusual duet partner: the stars themselves. Listen closely in the background toward the end of the song and you can hear amplified sounds eminating from stars, recorded by scientists.
