(July 3, 2026) Since bursting on the music scene stage as part of the blue-eyed soul/R&B trio Brooklyn Dreams, Joe “Bean” Esposito has shown himself mighty with a steady stream of career highlights including several collaborations with Donna Summer (“Heaven Knows,” “Bad Girls”) as well as one of the quintessential summer anthems of the ‘80’s with “You’re the Best” lifted from The Karate Kid.
A flurry of appearances on motion picture soundtracks from the late ‘70s and ‘80s including American Hot Wax, Foxes, Into the Night, Staying Alive and Rocky IV decorate his near-50 year musical career. And then there’s the synthy pop ballad “Lady Lady Lady” from the Flashdance soundtrack, (also re-featured in 2017’s Call Me By Your Name) and the timeless adult contemporary gem by Brenda Russell on “Piano in the Dark,” proving that Esposito has a knack of heartwarming ballads.
This year, the NY-bred singer-songwriter is opening his heart to the lover’s playbook on “All I Know,” a bubbling smooth groove that feels just right for a romantic moonlight dance at the behest of a rekindled love affair still wounded from regret. With a raspy tenor that resonates, Esposito is surrounded by cinematic Philly soul and doo-wop maximized with a flourishing string section and backing vocals. And to top it all off, a bluesy lead guitar enters the mix, echoing the raw emotional feeling of the lyrics: “You’re all I know/And I won’t let go of what we have.”
