(August 9, 2019) LA based singer and songwriter Jessica Childress has a voice and a vibe that harkens back to soul music’s greatest years. We first covered her after her appearance on NBC’s The Voice and SoulTrackers definitely responded to her single “Far Away,” taking it up the charts.
Jessica has continued to develop her game since then and is now releasing a new single that reminds why we fell for her in the first place. “Slow Down (For A Minute)” has a cool midtempo vibe that is getting us grooving, and her rich voice – delivering a tone similar to Fantasia – brings it all home beautifully. The whole thing simply works.
