Atlanta-based artist JeRonelle McGhee has a sound beyond his years. Though still a student at Clark Atlanta University, McGhee bears the aura of two generations of artists – from Donny Hathaway to John Legend – who have combined simple piano arrangements with expressive, soulful vocals to create their own kind of magic. And it is that classic sound that fills JeRonelle’s new single, “You Just Don’t Care.”
Says JeRonelle, “”This is undoubtedly the most emotional song I’ve written in my life thus far.” And we definitely feel that emotion, as we debut “You Just Don’t Care” as our newest SoulTracks First Listen.
