(July 1, 2018) We’ve been following songwriter extraordinaire James Day since the early days of SoulTracks, and SoulTrackers have made him one of their favorite independent artists. He’s consistently delivered top notch material over the years and has amassed an amazing set of collaborators to turn those songs into recorded magic.
James has a special new album coming out in July. Groove Nights is his first all dance music album, and features production by guitarist supreme U-Nam. And he leads off the disc with a tasty jam that has an irresistible dance groove, but also a bit of a jazzy underpinning. And as usual, James brings just the right vocalists on board, this time with Tim Owens on lead vocals and longtime SoulTracks friend Karen Bernod creating some scrumptious background harmonies.
