(January 12, 2019) Longtime SoulTrackers know that we’ve been following songwriter extraordinaire James Day since the early days of SoulTracks. And the first song we covered of his was the uber-infectious cut “Brick By Brick” by the talented Audrey Wheeler.
Well, a few years have gone by since then. James has had some hit album, and this past December won a SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Award for the Glenn Jones/Regina Belle smash, “Love By Design,” a James Day composition.
Now in the new year, James is working on a new album called Time Machine, and the first single from the album pairs James with, you guessed it, Audrey Wheeler. It is a hot remix by Shawn Hibbler of “Rewind,” a song they worked on awhile back, and it sounds fresh in its new clothing. The new mix of “Rewind” will come out on January 16, James’ birthday, and will be available at Amazon, CD Baby, iTunes, and other online stores.
