(November 13, 2024) Minquel and Woody Ingram, the two brothers who make up the duo Ingram Street, have a way with the ballad. We learned that on numerous tracks, including the lush love song and aptly titled “Throwback.” On that tune, the brothers compare a woman’s timeless beauty to a classic song, and Ingram Street took listeners to the Sound of Philadelphia to bring that comparison home.
“Soulfully Sublime,” the duo’s new tune, sports a definite contemporary vibe. “Soulfully Sublime” finds the pair alternating between sung verses and rap. The track intersperses classic jazz-tinged piano riffs with the signature contemporary hip-hop/R&B sound of the 808 drums.
