First Listen: Ingram Street finds a “Natural High” with remix

(November 17, 2022) Ingram Street’s song “Natural High” was a ballad found on their 2015 album Escapism. It was a sensual ballad that had the right mix of contemporary synths and percussion providing an ephemeral and atmospheric cloud for the buttery tenors of Howard “Minquel” Ingram and Daniel “Woody” Ingram to glide upon.

“Natural High’s” lyrics were unashamedly old school. The brothers fed listeners as steady diet of romance. A lady who wants to know that she’s been missed when she gone and that her return takes her man to the next level gets that and more from this jam from Ingram Street.

“Natural High” hits all the right notes both vocally and thematically. Still, the Ingram men decided that they wanted to revisit the tune and so they decided to take a second bite of the apple.

Their first take on “Natural High” was a turn the lights down low, hold your lady close while the Ingram brothers put the thoughts running around in your head into the atmosphere. That version of “Natural High” is for her ears only. The duo’s mid-tempo steppers version is more of a celebration and public declaration of that dopamine experience you get from her presence. Same song, but a different feeling. Check out “Natural High: The Realm Remix” here.
