She’s the daughter of a living legend, but Indira Khan shows she has strong musical chops of her own. The daughter of Chaka and former member of the Motown act Pretty In Pink has worked with artists ranging from Johnny Gill to Paula Abdul and even toured with other famous offspring in the Daughters of Soul tour. But now is her chance to go out on her own with a EP that will be released this Spring.
Indira gives us a sneak peek with her first single, the lovely “Bathe Me.” She says about the song: “‘Bathe Me’ is one of my favorite songs that I’ve written. I wrote it a while ago and like a lot of my songs it’s about love… pure love. I’m just a hopeless romantic. I wanted to release a song, sort of as a preview of things to come. I wanted to make sure this first single really showcased my vocals. I hope listeners like it.”
