First Listen: Hiroshima feels a “Long Time Love”

hiroshima

Jazz fans have been following the terrific band Hiroshima for years. But rarely have they thought of Hiroshima as a vocal band. But that’s the premise behind Hiroshima’s new album, Songs With Words.

The album is quite a departure for the band, and that goes for the beautiful love song, “Long Time Love,” featuring Terry Steele on vocals. Songwriter Dan Kuramoto says “This is a love song, set in images and scenarios from a perod in my young college life, living in a cold-water ‘walkup’ in Haight Ashbury. It’s a narrative about love, life, lonelinessand anticipation. Terry brings it all to life. “

We couldn’t agree more. Check out this very soulful performance by Hiroshima and Terry Steele on “Love Time Love.”
