(May 1, 2020) We’ve been anxiously awaiting the new album, All Rise, from longtime SoulTracks fave and two-time Grammy winner, Gregory Porter. And while the album has been pushed back to August 28 due to the coronavirus pandemic, Gregory has continued to give us sneak peeks at the songs.
Today he released his fourth single from the album. “Phoenix” about love rising from the ashes, just like the mythical bird.
Gregory says, “’Phoenix’ is about the undying, irrepressible spirit of love. Love can fall, can suffer some great blow, but it can rise from the ashes and keep going.”
