First Listen: Goldee Clarke wants “More”

(November 14, 2018) Steeped in the sexy alt-R&B bedroom swerve of The Weeknd and EDM magic, Bronx native Goldee Clarke breaks out with his debut single “More.” It’s a staggering performance void of solo debut jitters and is bound to resonate well with those who like their neo-soul with “Starboy” froth.

Inside the new school exploration, the budding singer-songwriter yearns for hot romance with a first encounter at the club. And he begs for it on the chorus: “Just kiss me a little more/love me a little more/Touch me a little more/kiss me all night long.” But Clarke is ultimately trampled by rejection, only allowing his nightlife crush to live on his fantasy. Thankfully, the cloud of sadness is balanced with a smart combination of mellow beats and euphoric synths.
