April 19, 2020 – Giveon is a singer/songwriter from Long Beach, California who recently released his debut album, Take Time, on Epic Records. He has quickly attracted a significant fan base, perhaps most notably the actress Issa Rae, who praised his debut from the rooftop of her Twitter page.
Giveon’s stock in trade is a dreamy, ambient style of alt R&B in which his gifted baritone floats effortlessly over the proceedings. We feature here the track “This Ain’t Love,” a slow burner in which Giveon reaches up on the bridge for his not inconsiderable falsetto. Enjoy.
