(May 16, 2026) Geo Baddoo began to develop career aspirations in her father’s home studio. And once she established that recording artist chapter in 2022, Baddoo has bared her soul, channeled by her wistful voice and vulnerable storylines. This uncompromising reality show drawn from such heroes like Erykah Badu and Mary J. Blige has reeled in her fans on several singles, such as her debut First Listen appearance, “My Turn.”
With Baddoo’s upcoming debut E.P. approaching, First Listen once again embraces this U.K. singer/songwriter/producer for the latest single, “Save Me,” where the mighty songwriting pen comes to the rescue. While the song delves into facing mental challenges head on after periods of that dreaded enemy – writers block – Baddoo taps into what brought back that artistic encouragement she thrives upon. She explains: “Writing this song marked seeing the light. It felt like a release, like I was finally being honest with myself again.”
Baddoo and longtime musical partner, Grammy nominated Steve Marshall, cleverly blend gospel, country, blues, fused by her trademark gentle contemporary R&B attitude. And their confident 1-2 production punch is graced by electric, acoustic & bass guitars swimming in Hammond organ and captivating background harmonies. Though the calm mood lingers throughout the track, Baddoo’s assertive narration that leads to a personal victory, busting open the emotional walls will never be overshadowed. Check it out!
