(December 6, 2025) 1970s music fans know that there were few acts like the legendary Chi-Lites. Their combination of scorching funk numbers and the sweetest of ballads, combined with the songwriting pen of Eugene Record, made them soul music royalty, and also SoulTracks Lifetime Achievement Award winners.
The incredible catalog of The Chi-Lites wasn’t lost on the equally legendary production, songwriting and performing team, Full Force. And for their newest single, brothers Paul Anthony George, Brian “B-Fine” George, and “Bowlegged Lou” George Jr, along with friend Nub the Dark Gable, have created a tribute to the Chi-Lites in the form of an updated medley of that group’s biggest smashes, “Oh Girl” and “Have You Seen Her.”
The medley captures the tight harmonies that pervaded the original versions of the songs, but with an updated, hip-hop influenced beat and lyrics that are far more 2025 than 1975.
“Have You Seen Her – Oh Girl” is a smile-inducing tribute to an all-time great act and a reminder of just how broad the talents of the George brothers are. Check it out below.
