Ester Rada is an Israeli vocalist of Ethiopian descent who released her debut album, Ester Rada, last year. Her tracks feature a jazzy, new soul vibe with hints of reggae, hip hop, and Middle Eastern influences topped by Ester’s warm vocals and artful phrasing.
A favorite off the album is “Out,” which Ester performed live last month in Amsterdam for Dutch public television. Fans of SoulTracks’ favorite Maya Azucena may especially enjoy Ester’s music. Have a listen!
