(November 20, 2018) Until this morning, I had never heard of Canadian singer, songwriter and keyboardist Erin Costelo. But her single “Lights Down Low”, from her brand new album, Sweet Marie, hit my inbox and she won me over from the jump.
“Lights Down Low” is a smoky ballad that harkens back to the kind of singer/songwriter music that was so prevalent three decades ago, with the kind of blend of pop, soul and jazz that won over a generation of fans. It is the first single from the 10 song album that was recorded in a timber-frame home on the ocean in Little Harbour, Nova Scotia.
Even as folks are discovering the album, we have a special treat: A previously unseen live video performance by Erin of “Lights Down Low” that shows why we’re already hooked. Check out the World Premiere below and tell us what you think!
