(October 27, 2019) We’ve been writing about Baltimore, Maryland singer Emmanuel Withers and his brand of “Neo-Classic” music for a couple of years now, and he has certainly become an artist worth watching. SoulTrackers may have first heard Emmanuel when he served as a background for longtime faves Marcell & the Truth and Raheem DeVaughn, and he even served a period as part of Damon Harris’ Temptations Review.
But now Emmanuel is clearly front and center, and he will be showing off his talent again soon on his upcoming acoustic soul EP. And today, we have a sneak peek at the project with the brand new song, “Garden of Love.”
With just a simple acoustic guitar behind Emmanuel’s gentle falsetto lead, “Garden of Love” feels like half coffee house, half living room in its intimate vibe. Emmanuel tells us “This song is about love in its purest form. It makes mention of one of the earliest recorded times in human history (The Garden of Eden) to describe a love that is unconditional and everlasting.”
We think SoulTrackers will enjoy this one. Check out “Garden of Love” below and welcome Emmanuel Withers back to SoulTracks.
