(September 11, 2018) Singer and actor Donnell Isaac brings an element of classic romance to the game with the latest single and video “Table.” Everything about this tune and the video is classic from the decidedly analog arrangement to the video set in club where we see Isaac singing a song to an audience filled with people bobbing their heads to the music. But it become clear that Isaac is singing to one person in particular.
“Table” uses a restaurant dinner setting for what is the most life-changing moments in any man’s life: popping the question. Isaac’s music exists at one of the many cross sections exists between of gospel and R&B. With cuts and videos such as “Table,” Isaac’s music resides in that realm of inspirational R&B that possesses a spiritual center. Isaac manages to bring some old school romance and values of a true gentleman to a song that tells a positive message that doesn’t hit the listener over the head. Check the video out here.
