Her name may not ring a lot of bells here in the US, but ask any of our UK friends, and they smile when they hear the name Dina Carroll. Working with songwriter and producer Nigel Lowis, she had a string of hits in the 1990s, fronted by her powerful, attractive voice.
Well, it has been over a decade since we heard new music from Dina, but she is back, again teaming with Lowis on a scorching dance number that should have her many fans shaking it all around. “We Bring the Party” has a Chic-like groove and strong backing work by The Dig Band. And it is all put together on the emerging DSG label that has brought us so many good singles this year.
