World Premiere: Danny Kean “Can’t Wait” to pay tribute to Motown

(June 27, 2017) Thirty-four year old New York singer and songwriter Danny Kean has a life story worthy of three people. Born blind, Danny took to the piano at age two and found that he had perfect pitch. So he spent his childhood modeling his playing after the soul and jazz greats and was recording music while still a teenager.

Since then he has worked with artists ranging from Lenny Kravitz to Tye Tribbett to Gary U.S. Bonds, all the while also working on his own material. Danny has a new EP, Here It Is, coming out on June 30, and the sounds coming out of the studio should make soul music lovers rejoice.

To coincide with the EP release, Danny has a new single, “I Can’t Wait,” that should give SoulTrackers the warm vibe of the music of Detroit. Danny tells us, “I am a huge fan of early Motown and was looking to capture that feel.”

We think he did a good job of it. Check it out below and tell us what you think!
