(December 26, 2017) She had a difficult 2017, beginning with a perhaps ill-advised decision to perform at President Trump’s inauguration, followed by a social media revolt and difficulties with her record label and, sadly, a reported miscarriage. But Chrisette Michele is trying to move past a year to forget, hitting the charts with the single “Strong Black Woman” and now releasing another new one, “Party At My House.”
The new single has a cool groove and features Chrisette’s always sexy vocals up front. It is a good look for her, and one that we hope portends a better year to come.
