First Listen: Chelsey Green just gets better with “Time”

(July 21, 2020) Chelsey Green and The Green Project is a collective that does not wish to be defined within one particular genre of music. For their latest single entitled “Time” their originality in approach and arrangement produces stellar results.

Starting with percussion that is reminiscent of a clock, “Time” evolves into a ballad that illustrates how a relationship that once held so much promise ultimately dissolves into painful memories. This story is evident in the song’s chorus, as Chelsey reminds the listener “The truth comes to light in time, don’t live your life in a lie.”

The essence of this song is advanced by the effective placement of the viola within the melody, transitioning to dominance by the end of the track. It’s a nice touch, and one that helps to distinguish their song from others in the current landscape.

While the EP is set for release later this month, here is your chance to spend some time with “Time.”
