(November 22, 2022) We’ve been following Long Beach, California native Castella for a few years now. Her rich, deep voice has a classic pop/soul feel that allows her to stretch into multiple genres, and she has been bubbling up as an artist to watch.
On her newest single, Castella delivers a new holiday gem, working with producers Jeff Canady and Darryl Swann, and a cadre of Detroit-based musicians. “And So It’s Christmas” has an instant classic feel, touching on Motown, but with a Bacharach-like light pop underpinning. And Castella’s effortless vocals provide the ideal topping for the number.
