(September 22, 2025) The respect that people in other countries have for soul music can be seen in the reception that American soul artists receive when they travel and perform overseas. It can also be heard in the music produced by bands based in other countries.
That is certainly the case for Camera Soul, an Italian band that features brothers Pippo and Piero Lombardo. The band draws inspiration from legendary soul and funk bands like Earth, Wind & Fire and Tower of Power. Their craftsmanship has been recognized by music lovers in this country. Camera Soul was nominated for a SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Award in the Duo or Group of the Year category in 2024.
Fresh off that success, Camera Soul returns with a new single, titled “I Love You Hard.” The track is an infectious, up-tempo pop/dance number that features, jazz and rock guitar work by Fabio Pignataro and the vocals of Sabreetha Vee. Vee is the band’s latest lead vocalist, and she’s shown that she can handle ballads and well as up-tempo tunes such as “I Love You Hard.” Check it out here.
