(March 25, 2026) Camera Soul’s new single, “The Best Part of My Heart” is a song about memory, loss, love, and regret. Vocalist Sabreetha Vee can be singing about a painful breakup – looking back on the good times and perhaps wishing that she can reconnect once more and say the things that were left unsaid.
She can also be in the throes of grief, which evokes the same emotions but also carries the fact of permanent separation. Regardless, we’ve all found ourselves in one of these situations, so Vee is speaking to us.
She brings the kind of honesty and vulnerability to the tune that’s necessary for the listener to empathize. “The Best Piece of My Heart” puts Vee in a role that she’s taken with Camera Soul – singing lush, ballads or mid-tempo numbers. That’s a bit switch in style, but Vee is well suited for it, and the band is comfortable with the it as well.
