First Listen: Bertell is looking for some “Privacy”

(February 9, 2021) Need some sultry bedroom R&B for your Valentine’s Day playlist…and beyond? Bertell may be the sexual chocolate to taste during this season of love. On “Privacy,” the latest single lifted from his sophomore LP (2020’s Sun Up Sun Down), the rising indie singer-songwriter hailing from Houston, Texas takes on throwback Usher vibes, almost echoing the seductive footsteps of “Nice & Slow” with admirable precision.

It helps having Grammy-nominated Mama Jan (Usher, Justin Bieber, Keyshia Cole) on board, as she fine-tunes the vocal production. “You should come away with me,” Bertell croons over a cloud of stimulating guitar strokes before whispering at ear shot level “privacy” with seductive charm.

Check out this First Listen of “Privacy” and let us know if you’re slow jamming to it.
