First Listen: The Foreign Exchange’s BeMyFiasco gets “Ready”

(November 22, 2024) The talented member of The Foreign Exchange, BeMyFiasco, takes us back to a beloved era of R&B music with the latest song from her EP Pretty Little Love. “Might Be Ready” has a 1990s vibe that takes hold from keyboard riffs to the dreamy guitar and the lyrics that describe a lady who is ready to throw caution to the wind and take a chance on romance.

The track follows up the upbeat “Don’t Wanna Be Your Lover,” and those two tracks serve as a display of the topical and musical range BeMyFiasco gives listeners on Pretty Little Love. The Dallas native who is now based in North Carolina is an example of the kind of talent coming from the +FE Music family of artists.

BeMyFiasco describes the process that led to the creation of “Might Be Ready,” as well as the other tunes on Pretty Little Love: “This project began with just my guitar and a head full of emotions I hadn’t yet put into words. Over these last three years, I’ve learned so much about bringing my vision to life, and while it was terrifying to take the lead, I’m grateful for the support of my FE family. They encouraged me to stay true to my voice. With Phonte’s guidance, I finally had the tools to create something authentically mine.”
