(May 14, 2020) Auteria Wally Winzer Jr. has been a busy man for more than three decades, with a massive volume of work in the R&B and jazz worlds, including support of recordings by artists ranging from El DeBarge to Glenn Jones to Frank McComb.
For the last couple of years, though, the Bay Area multi-instrumentalist has been releasing his own music, with a series of albums and singles that highlight his songwriting and production, and which featuring strong guest vocalists.
Auteria’s latest is another number that has the vibe of an 80s love ballad from a group like Atlantic Starr. “Don’t Judge A Book (By Its Cover)” features Candi Stampley, Steve Fernandes & Melecio Magdaluyo, and they give the song a classic soul feel.
