First Listen: Ashley Scott wants to be “Together” forever

ashleyscotttogetherpr

(February 12, 2022) Philadelphia soul crooner Ashley Scott has been building a solid repertoire of R&B over the last five years, beginning with the ballad “Words” and continuing with the groovy “Dance the Night Away” and “Don’t Throw Our Love Away.” Now, he’s returning to the slow-jam fold with a love song highlighting the emotions which accompany the realization of real love.

“Together” is furnished with bright horn lines, nostalgic background harmonies courtesy of B 4 The World, and a subtle swirl of strings surrounding Scott’s yearning tenor performance. Embedded with a chord structure and rhythm arrangement recalling classic Philly ballads of the ‘70s, the tune’s message of commitment and sincerity is carried across seamlessly. It’s an ideal fit for the singer’s straight-ahead style and bright phrasing.
