(October 27, 2024) April Stubbs comes from a great musical linage. Her father is Joseph Stubbs, who was a member of several groups, but most notably The Contours and The Originals. Her uncle is Levi Stubbs, lead singer for The Four Tops.
April Stubbs now seeks to make a name in her own right with the ballad “Please Don’t Ever Go Away (From Me). The tune is a ballad where she expresses her deep love and the desire to keep the most important person in her life a part of her life.
Although this may be the first time that April Stubbs has worked as the lead singer on a recording, she’s a seasoned songwriter, having the song’s “Hey There Love” and “Chasing” performed by other members of her talented family.
