We introduced SoulTrackers to Chicago singer Angelo Michael Martin a couple years ago. He combines hot beats and strong vocals with a universal message.
Angelo has a new album coming called God Iz Good, and we’ve been digging the song “Be Grateful,” a tribute to the great Walter Hawkins. It has a deep groove and nice vocal arrangements over top. Angelo tells us about the song: “I’ve always loved the song, ‘Be Grateful’ by Walter Hawkins and wanted to experiment with a different feel. I believe the message is as powerful today as it was when he wrote it. I am proud and blessed to be able to pay homage.”
