(January 29, 2020) We introduced SoulTrackers to singer and songwriter Angel Sessions a few years ago, and you responded to her positive lyrics and sense of groove.
And while we’re used to hearing Angel’s own songs, The Los Angeles singer has just released a song that will certainly be familiar to SoulTrackers. “Let’s Wait Awhile” was a #1 smash for Janet Jackson 34 years ago (what?!?!?), and it helped set the stage for her becoming the biggest artist in the world.
Angel brings that song forward to 2020 with a nice version that is faithful to the original but not too reverential. She tells us, “I did this remake and wanted to share it for my fans to enjoy and give credit to the amazing artist I listen to for many years and whom I love and adore as an artist, Janet Jackson.”
