(October 3, 2025) Chicago native André Ward has been a part of the lives of soul and jazz fans for more than three decades, as a consistent purveyor of hooky, strongly performed music that grooves and soothes.
Over the past few years, Ward has reached a whole new audience with a combination of smooth new songs as well as irresistible covers. And for his newest single, he has teamed with talented singer Chantel Hampton for a song (co-written by Hampton and Rahni Song) that is perfect for top down ride down the boulevard.
“Secret Place” is a groovealicious cut that should immediately find its way onto both smooth jazz and adult soul stations with its immaculate performances by both singer Hampton and Ward’s band. We know it has won us over.
