(May 8, 2026) They’ve been SoulTracks favorites separately, and it is a treat to hear them together. We’ve been big fans of Marlon McClain, a funk pioneer and founding guitarist of the band Pleasure, for decades. And Alvin Frazier is a great indie soul singer who we’ve happily covered over the years.
These two talents have now teamed on a new single that is a tasty mix of 90s R&B grooves and contemporary production, courtesy of Wirlie Morris. “Feels Right” is a feel-good song that celebrates a man’s happy thoughts when he is with that special woman. But it goes beyond that, to the happiness that comes when two artists like these find a musical groove together.
Alvin says, “Working with Marlon felt like a natural evolution. We wanted to create something that didn’t just sound good, but felt right—hence the title. It’s about that instant connection you feel when the music, the mood, and the person you’re with all align.”
The musical chemistry of the two artists is obvious, resulting in a song that is an early entry for our Summer playlists. Check out “Feels Right” below.
