(April 19, 2021) SoulTrackers may recognize singer and actor Alvin Frazier from his recent appearance in the lauded movie Judas and The Black Messiah, and may remember that we covered his hit song “Something to Remember” back in 2013.
Frazier possesses an attractive tenor voice as a sense of music history. And that all comes through on his new single, “Lost In Love,” a slice of soul balladry that has the vibe of 90s Kenny Lattimore or Tony Rich. Frazier tells us, “When I think of R&B music, three things come to mind: love, romance and sensuality. Those are the things that people who love the genre expect and tend to feel when listening to that type of music.”
Well, “Lost In Love” has all that and more. Layered background vocals and a tasteful arrangement provide the foundation for Frazier to take his time up front, delivering a love song that adult soul listeners should feel from the first note.
