First Listen: Alexander O’Neal returns with the groove

(August 9, 2019) SoulTrackers certainly know Alexander O’Neal, the soul star of the 80s and 90s who, with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis producing, issued such now classic singles as “If You Were Hear Tonight” and “Fake.” What they may not know is the the talented Mr. O’Neal continues to record from time to time, still delivering danceable jams that would please his longtime fans.

AO’s most recent release definitely harkens back to his Jam and Lewis days, sounding like a blending of “Fake” and “All True Man,” with production similar to his biggest hits. “Think of Who Loves You” is both groovealicious and a bit of an earworm. It’s a good look for an artist who has had more than his share of good looks over the years, and we think SoulTrackers will enjoy this one.

Check out “Think of Who Loves You” and welcome back Alexander O’Neal!
