Italian soul man Al Castellana has established quite a following in Europe, but he is still largely unknown among U.S. soul music fans. That could change with his brand new single, a cover of a classic lost gem originally performed by G.C. Cameron and Syreeta (and co-written by Stevie Wonder).
“I Wanna Be By Your Side” is a duet with U.K. songstress Bashiyra, and the two artists sound great together on this beautiful, old school ballad. And the production by Daniele “Speed” Dibiaggio is both classic and sharp. “I Wanna Be By Your Side” is the first single from Al’s upcoming album, to be released this June.
