(October 29, 2015) After 7 was one of the great vocal groups of the 90s, with bright-voiced lead singer Kevon Edmonds (brother of Babyface) soaring through a number of big hits like “Ready Or Not” and “Til You Do Me Right.” The group reunited a few years ago, with Kevon and Keith Mitchell being joined by Kevon’s nephew Jason Edmonds (son of founding member Melvin Edmonds).
Now, after several years out of the studio, the group is returning with a new song produced by Babyface and Darryl Simmons that recaptures the sound of After 7’s biggest hits. Check out “I Want You” below and enjoy those great harmonies again. No word yet on whether an album will soon be following.
