It’s not often that an artist is still finding new paths two decades into his career, but that is the case for Atlanta-based soul singer and songwriter, Will Preston. While he is an performer whose entire oeuvre has been about love, with the years he has grown into an astute storyteller about relationships — often unvarnished tales of the real emotions that complicate how we relate to each other.
Will Preston the storyteller is in full bloom on his newest release, Erratic Heartbeats, a 12-song collection that presents multiple sides of love, from vulnerability to infatuatuation to infidelity. And Will wraps his tenor around all of them, using modern production techniques to buttress his confessions.
