Dallas-Fort Worth based songwriter and producer Tony G. Turner has been been making great music under the radar for a few years now. And, in addition to showing his ability with a melody, Turner has excelled at the diversity of his work — touching everything from Gospel to Dance to Funk to Soul, and doing it all with aplomb.
In a special treat for SoulTrackers, this month we’re introducing Tony via not one, but two songs — a two-sided single, just like the old school days. And these two songs are absolute gems, each with its own distinct style.
“Still In Love” is a dance jam that captures the feel of a late 80s banger, with vocalist and former American Idol star Britney Holmes delivering the goods.

The other side of the single, “DaDot,” is a rhythmic jam that serves as a statement of marital love. Tony tells us, “‘DaDot’ shines as a marriage anthem, its name drawn from the joyful ‘da-dot’ scat that opens the song like a morning prayer.” The powerful production is augmented by the strong lead vocals of DaVante Thornton and Drea Randle.
We’re thrilled to have discovered Tony G. Turner’s music, and we know you’re going to dig it as much as we do. Check out our Double Choice Cut for October, with “Still in Love” and “DaDot.”
