He has been Exhibit #1 of soul in the heartland. Like the change of seasons, Ty is consistent, as the Indiana-based singer repeatedly keeps his fans satisfied with a smooth blend of jazz and soul, impressing us years after we began covering him.
2020 promises to be a big year for Ty, as he plans the release of Milestones, Vol. 1, an album of some of his favorite recordings from his early years plus new material to boot. And he starts the year off by putting his unique spin on a soul and civil rights classic, Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come.”
