It’s been a few years since we first introduced SoulTrackers to singer and songwriter Curtis Clark, aka Homemadesoul, and we’ve been smitten with his music ever since. In our review of his 2013 album Random Thoughts, our Howard Dukes called him a singer of “authenticity and strong vocals.” The biggest challenge we’ve had is waiting for the years since his last release.
Homemadesoul is now back with a new single that is as true as a love song can be. “I Vow” was written back in 2007, but languished in relative obscurity until it was featured in Cartoon Network’s Amazing World of Gumball. Since then it has found the audience it deserved all along.
With classic soul balladry and the kind of lyrics that would be just right for a wedding, “I Vow” marks the welcome return of Homemadesoul. It is also our latest SoulTracks Choice Cut. Check out the brand new music video for the song below, and tell us what you think!
